Chairman Message

Message from the Central Chairman CPCIH Pakistan

Asalam-o-Alaikum

It is the aspiration of every nation to achieve comprehensive development, ensuring a life of dignity, peace, and prosperity for its citizens. However, true national progress is only possible when every individual contributes meaningfully, regardless of their status or background. The strength of any country lies in the character and commitment of its people.

A nation is built by its citizens—those who lead, those who serve, and those who uphold the values that unite us. Among them, there are three types: active (good) citizens, who work tirelessly for the betterment of their country; passive citizens, who remain indifferent; and bad citizens, who act selfishly, harming the fabric of society. Our vision at the Central Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony (CPCIH) is to cultivate and empower good citizens—those who live with integrity, who lead by example, and who are devoted to peace, unity, and service.

A good citizen does not wait to be called upon. They uphold the law, contribute to national development, support democratic processes, and act with compassion and responsibility. They assist in maintaining public order, report wrongdoing, support their communities, and inspire others, especially the youth. It is not fame that defines a good citizen—but character, conduct, and conviction.

In contrast, a bad citizen places personal gain above public good. They disregard ethics, evade responsibility, and erode trust in institutions. Such behavior weakens the nation from within. Our goal at CPCIH is to counter such attitudes by promoting awareness, ethical values, and civic responsibility.

National development goes beyond economics; it encompasses social well-being, cultural richness, political stability, and environmental sustainability. It is reflected in quality education, robust healthcare, food security, reliable infrastructure, employment opportunities, and equal rights for all. It is development that not only meets the needs of the present but protects the resources and values that future generations will depend upon.

To achieve this, we must embrace nationalism—a shared sense of belonging, history, and destiny. Nationalism binds us together across differences, uniting us in pursuit of a common future. Alongside it, patriotism is our duty. To love and defend our homeland is not merely symbolic—it is an active commitment to its peace, democracy, justice, and prosperity.

CPCIH stands as a platform of mindfulness and awareness, mobilizing a nationwide network of volunteers to promote patriotism, brotherhood, and unity across all divisions of color, religion, sect, or language. We strive to instill the spirit of coexistence, tolerance, and mutual respect in every citizen—particularly among youth and overseas Pakistanis—while reinforcing our cultural and national identity.

Standing with Our Armed Forces

The Armed Forces of Pakistan are the pride and strength of our nation—courageous, disciplined, and unwavering in their duty to defend our borders and protect the lives of our people. From the harshest terrains to the most testing times, our soldiers stand as a shield against internal and external threats. CPCIH calls upon every citizen to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our armed forces, not only in gratitude but in active support. We must honor their sacrifices by promoting peace at home, rejecting divisive agendas, and defending Pakistan’s sovereignty in every forum. Let us reject propaganda, divisiveness, and indifference. Instead, let us unite in spirit and purpose, demonstrating that the strength of our defense forces lies not just in their training—but in the unwavering support of a loyal, proud, and united nation.

Our democratic values and fundamental rights—including the right to life, dignity, freedom of expression, religion, and movement—must be safeguarded by all. These rights are paired with responsibilities: to uphold the constitution, respect our flag and institutions, serve the nation when called, and protect public property and national integrity.

Let us, as a nation, rise beyond our differences. Let us stand together in unity, in dignity, and in unwavering commitment to peace and progress. Let every citizen be a beacon of hope, a guardian of harmony, and an active participant in the journey towards a better, stronger Pakistan.

May our hearts remain united, our spirits steadfast, and our resolve unshakable—for Pakistan, for peace, and for future generations.

With best regards

Muhammad Mushtaq Ashraf Murtazavi
