Muhammad Mushtaq Ashraf Murtazavi is a distinguished religious scholar, solicitor, poet, philanthropist, and dedicated human rights activist. Originally from Abbottabad, his native town, he carries with him the rich cultural and ethical values of his heritage, which continue to shape his personal and professional life.
He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ashraf Law Associates, a law firm established with a mission to provide accessible and equitable legal services, particularly to the underprivileged and marginalized segments of society. His unwavering commitment to justice, fairness, and human dignity is at the heart of his legal work.
He is also the visionary founder of the Central Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony (CPCIH) a nationwide welfare organization committed to promoting unity, tolerance, and social harmony across religious and cultural boundaries.
CPCIH operates entirely through the dedication of volunteers, exemplifying Mr. Murtazavi’s belief in the power of community-led initiatives and the profound impact of collective goodwill in driving positive societal change.
Muhammad Mushtaq Ashraf Murtazavi hails from the distinguished Awan (Qutub Shahi) tribe. He is the eldest among four brothers and two sisters, and the son of the late Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Murtazavi, a prominent and respected transporter of his time.
A man of deep faith and discipline, Mr. Murtazavi is a Haafiz-e-Qur’an and a qualified religious scholar, having completed both Hifz-e-Qur’an and Dars-e-Nizami from Jamia Islamia Gulzar-e-Habib, located in Soldier Bazar, Karachi.
He received his early education from F.G. Public School, Karachi Cantt, and later pursued his higher secondary education in the field of Arts. His academic journey continued at the University of Karachi, where he earned a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies. Demonstrating a commitment to both spiritual and professional excellence, he also obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the prestigious Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi.
Further enhancing his qualifications, Mr. Murtazavi completed his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from S.M. Law College, Karachi—laying the foundation for his subsequent contributions to the legal field.
After completing his education, he embarked on his professional journey as an educationist, demonstrating a deep commitment to nurturing young minds and shaping future leaders. Throughout his career, he served in several esteemed academic institutions, where he not only imparted knowledge but also inspired countless students through his leadership and motivational approach to education. He held the position of Principal at Defence International School (DIS), Phase-VI, DHA, Karachi, and served as a visiting faculty member at leading academic institutions such as the Usman Institute of Technology (UIT), Hamdard University Karachi, and the Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari Institute of Technology (KASBIT), Karachi.
Guided by a strong sense of social responsibility and patriotism, he transitioned from education to the legal profession with the vision of serving humanity and upholding justice. He founded Ashraf Law Associates, a law firm dedicated to providing legal remedies and support to underprivileged and marginalized segments of society. His firm stands as a testament to his unwavering belief in equality, justice, and the fundamental rights of every citizen.
A committed patriot and advocate for civic empowerment, he has consistently demonstrated leadership in both the legal and social sectors. He is a lifetime member of the Sindh Bar Council, the Sindh High Court Bar Association, and the Karachi Bar Association, reflecting his deep-rooted engagement with the legal fraternity. Additionally, he is a lifetime member of the Arts Council of Pakistan, underscoring his appreciation for culture and community development.
Currently, he serves as the Central Chairman of the Central Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony, Pakistan (CPCIH), a nationwide welfare organization devoted to fostering interfaith dialogue, national unity, and social cohesion. Through his leadership, CPCIH has played a pivotal role in promoting peace, tolerance, and harmony across diverse communities, driven by a deep love for Pakistan and a vision for a more inclusive and united nation

In his personal life, Mr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ashraf Murtazavi is supported by his devoted spouses, Mrs. Shama Murtazavi and Mrs. Seema Mushtaq Murtazavi, whose unwavering encouragement has been a source of strength throughout his professional and humanitarian journey. He is also a proud father of two daughters, Aysha Mushtaq Murtazavi and Nyla Mushtaq Murtazavi, who are a constant source of pride and inspiration in his life.
